Hi friends! I am Aubrey and I am married to the most amazing human, “K”. We are both very outdoorsy people and love all things hiking, exploring, and nature. We got married on May 15, 2023. We are best friends and I couldn’t ask for a better partner.

When K and I first started dating, he let me know right away that he planned on joining the military. He was caught between the Navy and the Army. He told me that in past relationships the women have always discouraged this and/or gave up on the relationship as a whole. To me, something felt different with him and I knew that God placed him in my life for a reason. I told him that that didn’t bother me and that I was here to support him in anything he wanted to do. We dated long distance (about 3.5 hours away) for 1.5 years and got engaged in 2022. With his plans on going to the military still going strong, I knew I was in for a LOOOOONG engagement. That soon changed when he signed a contract for the Army in January 2023. He called me the day he signed and said, “We are getting married before I leave”. I was stunned to say the least. Let me put into perspective that his ship date was July 3rd. I had about 5 months to plan and have a wedding. Luckily for us, I have always wanted to elope and that is what we did.

In May of 2023, I graduated college and the day after graduation we left for Hurricane, Utah. We made lots of decisions on who was going to be present during our day and it was decided that it would just be us. May 15th was the most magical day. It was stress free and full of love as we said “I DO”!

July came fast and in a blink of an eye my husband was off to become a soldier. I am so proud of him and his determination to follow his dreams. All I can do is support and love him along this journey and I hope to help others do the same.
